A special message from Oklahoma City Fire Dept.

Oklahoma City Fire Dept.

Fireworks Are Illegal in OKC

There is no safe way to use consumer-grade fireworks — and in City of Oklahoma City - Government, they're illegal.

Even “kiddie fireworks” like sparklers can cause serious injuries. A sparkler burns at 1,200°F — hot enough to cause third-degree burns. Firecrackers are also responsible for hand, eye, and face injuries every year.

Our recommendation: Skip the backyard fireworks and enjoy a professional, public display instead. It’s safer, legal, and much more spectacular!
